Alexa Delboscv, Lecturer at Monash University says:
“In the past, Australian society and urban form has been shaped around the private car. Recently, Australia and much of the developed world has seen an unprecedented change in how we travel. For the first time in decades, young adults are becoming less likely to get a car license and use the car than previous generations. This unprecedented decrease in car use is one of the most significant emerging trends in transport research and potentially marks the greatest shift in mobility since the invention of the car.”
