Road Trauma Support Services Victoria is a not for profit organisation. They provide free information, counselling and support to people involved in a road crash. Counsellors are experts in their field and support over 3,000 Victorians each year, including family, friends, drivers, work colleagues and witnesses. They also run road safety programs across the state.
This year’s key dates are:
- Monday 6 to Sunday 12 May: Illumination of Australian landmarks in yellow
- Sunday 5 May: Road safety walk at Albert Park Lake
- Friday 10 May: Motorists are asked to turn on their headlights to demonstrate commitment to road safety
Entry points to get involved can be as simple as turning on your headlights, letting people know about RTSSV free counselling (which can be a useful adjunct to existing EAP’s), sharing messages through social media and there are sponsorship opportunities.
