The entertaining speakers talked about the proposed Melbourne Suburban Rail Loop.  There were criticisms of the project and the lack of planning process.  The question and answer session raised some key issues.

The traditional ITE-ANZ President’s Dinner was held at the beautiful Kew Golf Club on 22 November.

This year was different to last year as the President, Sarah Zhang, was able to fly down from Sydney to attend in person.

The special guest speaker was Jonathan Spear – CEO of Infrastructure Victoria – who gave a good summary of IV’s 30 year plan for transport infrastructure.

This webinar was held on 18 August 2022.  The speaker was Bonnie Coogan, Gender Equality Officer at Melton City Council.

Bonnie talked about the Victorian Gender Equality Act which came into force in March 2021.  City of Melton has undertaken 25 Gender Impact Assessments, one of which related to the walking and cycling plan.  Security and lighting were two of the common themes.
