David Nash from Traffinity will discuss the concept of induced transport demand and how this affects the understanding of transport planning and project evaluation. He will offer critical commentary on some post-truth slogans that pepper the public perception of transport issues.

About David

David is Principal of Traffinity – a traffic engineering consultancy. He has 40 years of experience in traffic engineering, having spent most of his career working at VicRoads. David has lectured in Transport Engineering at Swinburne University of Technology and conducted many workshops and webinars around Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia. He is Secretary of the ITE-ANZ.
