2025 July Webinar: Systems Thinking for Transport Planners

This webinar was held on 31 July 2025, presented by Dhanush Laxman.  It provided an overview of how systems thinking can be applied to transport planning. It also introduced a set of tools available to address complex challenges in urban and regional mobility.

Presenter: Dhanush Laxman

Dhanush is an experienced Systems and Safety Assurance Engineer with experience of applying principles of Systems Engineering in rail infrastructure. He brings extensive prior experience in Transport Planning, Traffic Engineering, Traffic Signal Designs, and Adaptive Traffic Technology, having worked on significant transportation projects across New Zealand, Australia, India and UAE. Auckland’s City Rail Link and Abu Dhabi’s Urban and Inter-Urban Traffic Management and Control System are some of the key projects he has worked on. He is a certified Functional Safety Engineer in Railway RAMS and Functional Safety.
