June Seminar: Saving Lives on Victorian Roads

Traffic fatalities in Victoria have been increasing over the last few years, from 243 in 2013 to 291 in 2016.

What happened and what can we do?

Speakers:

Mr Michael Batten is the senior sergeant in the road policing command in Victoria Police. He will talk about the road policing strategies in Victoria.

Mr Daniel Mustata is a team leader in road safety and network improvement at VicRoads. Daniel will discuss some of the road safety projects that VicRoads is undertaking in Victoria.

Mr David Williamson is a professional engineer with Safe System Solutions Pty Ltd. He has more than 30 years experience as a road safety and traffic engineer. David will talk about moving towards safe system design.
