The ITE’s July seminar brings three speakers together for a discussion on encouraging and facilitating cycling.
Note that this event will take place at a new Carlton location: RMIT Building 94, Lvl 1, Rm 06, 23 – 27 Cardigan Street (just North of Victoria Street)
The speakers will present their experience gleaned from local government, research and international case studies:
- Joel Docker (VicRoads, and Worldwide Learning Opportunities recipient in 2017) will talk about his research into Australian cycling design guidelines, and learnings from the 2017 Australasian Transportation Research Forum
- Cr Jackie Fristacky (City of Yarra) will discuss how her local council area has been made compatible for cycling
- Warwick Pattinson (University of Melbourne) will present lessons for Melbourne from leading cycling cities Amsterdam and Copenhagen.
