ITEANZ collaborates with NACTO in New Zealand

ITE has been supporting and collaborating with the National Association of City Transportation Officials (NACTO) for the past several years with some ITE members including International District 8 Director Don McKenzie contributing to NACTO guidelines including the Global Street Design Guide and the Transit Design Guide.  NACTO’s Skye Duncan (Director of the Global Designing Cities Initiative) is an urban designer with over a decade of experience in urban design, planning and landscape architecture.  She was previously New York City Department of City Planning’s Senior Urban Designer.  During March, Skye Duncan will present to Auckland audiences the upcoming Global Street Design Guide and discuss opportunities for cities to be creative about the infrastructure they already have, and improve the capability of urban streets to support a healthy, liveable, and sustainable future.
