VicRoads Consultant Forum

The ITEANZ was instrumental in the formation of the VicRoads Consultant Forum in Victoria, Australia. This group was formed a number of years ago as a means of the consultant community seeking to engage with VicRoads on issues of interest to the consultant community.

VicRoads was receptive to the idea and now hosts a session around twice per annum as an ongoing means of liaison with the consultant community. The session deals with issues such as insurance, liabilities, warranties, prequalification registers and ongoing contractual issues as well as discussing current issues and the equitable allocation of project opportunities among consultants.

The ITEANZ is one of three bodies represented and the forum, the others being the Australian Consulting Engineers Association (ACEA) and the Australian Institute of Traffic Planning and Management Inc (AITPM). Each of the organisations has two representatives; the current ITEANZ representatives are Peter Hunkin and Andrew O'Brien.
