Introducing Keynote Speaker,
Anita Curnow is the Executive Director Access and Operations at VicRoads, where she has worked in various executive roles over the last 15 years. There, she is responsible for the day to day operation of the road network, as well as the rules that govern who and which vehicles get access to it. She has been involved in significant organisational and cultural change at VicRoads, including encouragement of women in technical and leadership roles.
Anita was named as Civil Engineering Alumnus of the Year for 2017, having undertaken both undergraduate and postgraduate studies there. She was also recently named one of the Top 50 Public Sector Women in Victoria.

Billie Giles-Corti is a Professor and Director of RMIT’s Urban Futures Enabling Capability Platform and the Healthy Liveable Cities Group at RMIT. For over two decades she and a multi-disciplinary team of researchers and students have been studying how to design cities to make people healthy.
As someone fortunate enough to live inner city, she is a keen walker, cyclist and public transport user, and only uses her car to drive to golf!
Steve has 30 years management consulting experience in supply chain and logistics fields and is regarded as one of Australia’s leading transport planners, particularly in the freight sector. He has led numerous workshops as part of many projects, spoken at conferences and presented the plans and results from studies to technical and general audiences.

As Director of Strategy and planning, Adele brings more than a decade of infrastructure planning experience to the team. In 2016, she led the development of Victoria’s first ever 30-year infrastructure strategy. Previous roles include Project Director of the Metro Tunnel Project through its planning and development phases. Adele holds Bachelors of Engineering (Honours) and Arts from Monash University.
