September 2016: Public-Private Partnerships

Public-Private Partnerships: Public Value in Uncertain Times

Prof Graeme Hodge and Prof Colin Duffield gave presentations on this very important topic relating to how transport infrastructure is funded.

The presentations focused on many aspects of this topic, including: Professionalism, Planning, Projects, Policy, Politics, (road) Pricing and Private Capital.  Prof Duffield emphasised how PPPs can give value for money, if structured well, and how they have evolved in the Australian context.  Prof Hodge explained how PPPs are a phenomenon and a “brand” but not all PPPs are the same.

Slides from the presentations are in the attached files.

The event was proudly hosted by RMIT on 20 September 2016.
